Hospice of San Joaquin is closely monitoring, and following Federal and State recommendations in order to better serve our patients, and staff.  Currently we are utilizing and encouraging the CDC recommendations for Shelter in Place during this Pandemic. 

You will be asked by a staff member multiple questions regarding exposure, and symptoms prior to a staff member visit.  Understand that if our staff member is wearing PPE/ a mask, gloves, gown, goggles, shoe covers,  It is about protecting both your household, and the staff.

California is still expecting a peak of persons testing positive for Covid-19 over the next 30 days.. It is so important at this time to really follow the recommended guidelines for Sheltering in place.

Clean and disinfect

To disinfect:
Most common EPA-registered household disinfectants will work. Use disinfectants appropriate for the surface.

Options include:

Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation. Check to ensure the product is not past its expiration date. Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser. Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted.
